The Irish Cultural Center campus contains three buildings (the Great Hall, the Cottage, and the McClelland Library), our large courtyard or Clos, and An Gorta Mor The Great Hunger Memorial. The entire campus was designed to bring a little slice of Ireland to Margaret Hance Park in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
We highly suggest visitors take our fabulous campus tour in order to get an idea of just what we have to offer the Valley of the Sun! Due to the the large volume of artifacts housed on the campus and the extensive historical planning put into the design of the campus, we offer informational group tours led by our experienced docents.
Tours are available to the public during normal opening hours of the Irish Cultural Center & McClelland Library. During the Spring and Fall, we are open from 10AM to 3PM Tuesday – Saturday. Tours take approximately 45 minutes and begin at our replica 1850s Irish Cottage.
For groups of more than 8, please contact us at least 2 WEEKS in advance to ensure we can have a guide available for the arrival of your group. YOUR TOUR DATE REQUEST IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL WE FINALIZE WITH YOU. Otherwise, tours are on a first come, first serve basis. Special tours for school groups are available upon request.
Due to the overwhelming amount of tours requested in the month of March, we ask that all inquiries for that month come in by February 1st.
