Saint Patrick’s Day Events 2020

We have so many exciting events coming up this year to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day! It all starts out with the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire on Saturday, followed by our special Saint Patrick’s Day March 17th programming, and culminating in our Saint Patrick’s Day Ceili in the evening! Saint Patrick’s Day Parade & Faire: Saturday, March 14th

The St. Patrick’s Day Faire has 3 Stages of entertainment including Irish music, Irish Step dancing, and Bagpipers!  There will be Food & Beverages, Irish Crafts & Merchandise, Irish Clubs, Children’s Area, and more! Children 12 and under are free!

Free Parking!  Free Parking is available with Purchase of a Faire Ticket. 1850 North Central Avenue Free round-trip shuttle bus from parking garage to Faire (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

The Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library are open for the following special activities on Parade and Faire Day from 10AM – 5PM:

 

Irish Tea Ceremony

The Irish Cultural Center will be hosting Irish Tea Ceremony sittings at the Irish Cultural Center during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire.  Tea Tickets are $10 for members and $12 for non-members.  You can purchase Tea Ceremony tickets below at the following times:

McClelland Library Book Sale

Be sure to stop by the McClelland Library for a fantastic book sale.  Hardback books are $5, Paper back books are $3, and children’s books are only $1!

Parade Day Ceili

Join us for our Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Ceili on March 14th

Ceili is a family-oriented Irish social dance. There are usually six different dances at each Ceili including such favorites as “The Walls of Limerick”, “The Siege of Ennis”, “The Waves of Tory” and the “Haymakers Jig”.

We will walk you through the dances before we dance them, then call the dances as you dance. No prior experience is necessary. We focus on having a fun time!

Beverages are available from the bar.

Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration: Tuesday, March 17th

Join us on St. Patrick’s Day from 10AM – 4PM at the Irish Cultural Center & McClelland Library for special daytime programming!

In the Library, you can give a book a new home at our Book Sale! Families are encouraged to visit the Castle Keep for Family Story Hour to make fun Irish crafts and read Irish stories. Stop by our Genealogy Centre to learn more about your Irish Family History!

In the Great Hall, join us for Musical Entertainment and Irish Programming and purchase a cup of tea lovingly made by our resident tea specialist, Loraine!

Saint Patrick’s Day Ceili

Join us for our Saint Patrick’s Day Ceili on March 17th from 5PM – 8PM!

A Ceili is a family-oriented Irish social dance. There are usually six different dances at each Ceili including such favorites as “The Walls of Limerick”, “The Siege of Ennis”, “The Waves of Tory” and the “Haymakers Jig”.

There is no extra charge for the Orientation/Beginners session. We will walk you through the dances before we dance them, then call the dances as you dance. No prior experience is necessary. We focus on having a fun time!

Tickets are available at the door. Admission: $6, One free child 12 & under with each paid adult. Beverages are available from the bar.
