About the ICLF Emigration Support Program (ESP)
Who are we?
The ICLF ESP Committee is a group of volunteers that partner with the staff of the ICLF and the Consulate of Ireland in Los Angeles to support you. We offer a number of resources for you including bereavement support, Welcome to AZ guide, citizenship support and more, with many exciting developments being made.
On the third Friday of each month you can find a member of the ESP committee stationed in the Irish Cultural Center’s Cottage from 6-8pm, reservations are required, to answer any questions you have and provide resources. Alternatively you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond as soon as possible.
How it all began
On February 20, 2020, the Los Angeles Consul General joined us here in Phoenix, to help up launch this initiative. Maricopa County has seen a dramatic increase in its Irish immigrants population over the last 15 years, ranking it in the top 5 highest population by county in the United States. The attraction to move here is greatly increased by the financial and technological industries in the area. With this increase of immigrants, the Irish Government, with the the support of the ICLF, see the need to provide the region with a support group and networking system.
