Celt Raven Gathering: Cottageology and Curraghs

The Celt Raven Society invites you to gather for a multimedia presentation and conversation with our good Paul Ahern and Mary Moriarty on the subject of family cottages and Cottageology, a movement afoot in Ireland to restore, renovate and preserve them so they become living history. As we hope to revive our ICC Curragh team of rowers soon, we’ll talk about currachs, too… those wooden ribbed boats, once covered in hides, and still sailing up and down Ireland’s west coast and rivers.

John James, our archivist and collector, will discuss briefly his table of Celt artifacts which we have on display at every gathering.

There will be a cash bar, music and a step dance or two to enjoy, as well.
