Workshop Summary:
Class offers a guided tour of several of the most popular genealogy websites and the types of records you can find on each one. We’ll explore how the sites are similar, how they differ, and what makes each unique—so you can decide which option best fits your research needs and budget. Along the way, you’ll learn about common record types used in genealogy and get an overview of the genealogy research process. By the end of the class, you’ll feel more confident navigating genealogy websites and making informed, cost-effective choices.
This course is perfect for beginners and also offers helpful insights for more experienced genealogists.

You do not need any specific materials. Make sure to bring whatever device (paper or electronic) you prefer to take notes on. Wireless Internet access is available during the class.

The Norton Room is located in the basement of the McClelland Library

Each workshop costs $15 for Library/ICC members and $20 for the general public
