We can’t wait to welcome you to the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library! Whether you’re visiting for an event, exploring our exhibits, or simply stopping by to learn more about Irish culture and heritage, we’re excited to have you on campus.

Before you make your way to Downtown Phoenix, take a moment to review the information below to help you plan your visit and make the most of your time with us.

Getting Here

The Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library is located at;
1106 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85004

Helpful notes;
– The campus shared parking lot is located down an alleyway between the center and the FoundRe Hotel. There is a turn right lane when headed south on Central Avenue.
– The Valley Metro Light Rail stops outside the campus on Central Avenue and Roosevelt.

Public Hours (beginning 9/8/2026)

The campus is open to the public for walk ins during the following hours;

Mondays: CLOSED
Tuesdays: 10am – 3pm
Wednesdays: 10am – 3pm
Thursdays: 10am – 3pm
Fridays: 3pm – 8pm
Saturdays: 10am – 3pm
Sundays: CLOSED

Special event hours may differ and interrupt public hours on occasion.

Parking

The Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library has access to approximately 40 parking spaces, 3 ADA accessible spaces, located just west of the campus.

Please note that this is a public parking lot used by visitors to both our campus and Margaret T. Hance Park. As a result, parking availability cannot be guaranteed during our regular hours or for special events.

If the lot is full, there are several additional public parking options, paid and free, within a short walking distance. Please refer to the map to the left to locate nearby parking areas before your visit.

Admission

Admission to the campus is free for walk in visitors.

If you wish to have a fully guided tour of the campus with a guide these must be scheduled in advance by emailing info@azirish.org and incur the following fees;
Children <3 years old – Free
Children >3 years old – $5
Seniors 65+ – $7
Adults 18+ – $10

Special events are ticketed individually.

Membership

Becoming a member of the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library is a great way to support our mission while enjoying a variety of exclusive benefits. Membership perks vary by level, so explore the options buy clicking the button below to find the package that’s right for you.

Accessibility

The entire campus is wheelchair accessible.
– Wheelchair accessible parking spots in our public lot – not guarenteed for Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library use only.
– Accessible restrooms.
– Service animals, with correct notices, are permitted.
– Accessible elevator access.

Visiting with children

The entire campus is family friendly, however children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
The campus is stroller accessible.
Limited baby changing stations available.

Photography

Personal photography by phone or small cameras are permitted throughout the entire campus.
Commercial photography sessions require approval and incur a fee per hour – email info@azirish.org for more information.
Photography restrictions during special event performances or exhibitions my be enforced on a case by case basis.

Restrictions

Pets are not permitted (service animals only)
Food is not permitted in the McClelland Library – special exceptions may be made for events.
Weapons are not permitted on campus.
Loud music or disruptions are not permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

– Is parking free? Yes, in the public parking lot to the west of the campus gates.
– Are guided tours available? Yes, but must be scheduled in advanced for full campus tours by emailing info@azirish.org. You may walk into the campus during opening hours but all locations may not be open for viewing.
– Can I rent the facility? Yes, we offer the campus for special rental rates. Email private.events@azirish.org with your request.
– How long does a visit typically take? The average visit can typically take 1 to 1.5 hours.
