Piano/Keyboard

Piano students will be assessed for current technical ability, and then go on to study fundamental techniques through scales, selected etudes, and repertoire development, as well as basic musical concepts. Instruction includes an emphasis on Irish and Celtic repertoire, techniques for playing in an open seisiun, and methods of providing accompaniment for instrumental or vocal performers of Irish and Celtic music. Performance opportunities may be provided during selected terms. End of term assessment will be based on attitude, attendance, participation, practice logs, and overall progress in proficiency. Age 6 and older.
