Sarah Faith Busk
A recent graduate of Grand Canyon University, Sarah Faith began her musical journey early in life. Piano, flute and theory/composition became her passion in grade school and has since performed in Germany, France, Portugal, New York and the Southwestern United States. She is part of the East Valley Music Teachers Association. She also participates with the Mesa Community and Scottsdale Community College orchestras playing flute, while finishing Piano Pedagogy certificates from Mesa Community College. She has tutored piano, flute, theory and composition students during and after her undergraduate studies. She believes that music collaborates every area of the brain and culture helps to shape the future.
Piano and flute students will be assessed for technical capabilities, learn fundamental techniques and basic theoretical concepts to become well-rounded musicians using various Celtic pieces accompanied by technique methods and selected etudes. Collaborations with other students is encouraged. Topics of study include sight reading, scales, etudes (musical study piece), individual repertoire and basic theory studies. Marks will be based on participation, practice logs, periodical quizzes, and overall progress.
